Cowboys and Aliens Slot Features, Specials and Symbols

On its most basic level, Cowboys and Aliens is a video slot with five reels and nine fixed win lines. To start the battle between the cowboys and aliens, you'll need to adjust your line bet. At the lowest level, you can spin the reels from £0.09. At the top end, the maximum bet for Cowboys and Aliens is £900. Of course, once you start to spin, the aim of the game is to match three or more symbols from left to right and, if you can roll in five jackpot symbols (the wild), you'll win 10,000 times your line bet. Beyond the standard payout table, Cowboys and Aliens gives you three special ways to win:

The Alien Weapon Feature: To help link the game's overall storyline to the action, an alien gun on reel one will set off a wild bonus. After landing in view, the gun will shoot its laser beam at random symbols and turn them into wilds. This in turn helps to create more winning combinations.
Free Spins Bonus: Roll in three or more scatters (game logo) anywhere in view and you'll not only get eight free spins, but a giant wild. As the bonus round kicks into life, a rectangle will appear at random positions on the reels. Whatever area it covers will turn into a wild and give you more ways to win.
Alien Attack Bonus: The last of the special features involves a fight for survival. After rolling in the bonus symbol on reels one and five, you'll be asked to pick one of three heroes: Verity, Zeke or the Indian Warrior.

Once you've done that, your job is to shoot the aliens as they attack. Each kill will be worth a random cash amount, a multiplier or extra ammo so you can play for longer.
